Probably can't make it at all. Meeting conflict.

Did this last year. Quite emotional, but satisfying. I'll be back again to give my emotional support and express solidarity.

@Jon, I'll let the Banks family know. I've had a small view of their situation since that hit-and-run. Devastating to the family.

If you don't start rolling until 7 or later, I may be able to join the ride downtown. I will bring my own armband.

My that was a somber and well attended event. We are not invisible!

I appreciated the opportunity to ride. The kids who thought it would be funny to hit a rider in the head with a football, not so much.

I didn't hear about the football... when/where did that happen?

Sorry to have missed it. It's very hard to get moving close to on time with the three, especially since we newly changed/upgraded the train. Tried optimistically to see if I could bring them down Beechwood and take 5th west until I we met up with the group, but you must've been past that point already. We had a good ride and were thinking of you.

Sucks about the football, btw! If there were an opportunity to hold onto the football, say, by strapping it to my arm...

I liked the route better--going up the Bigelow bridge divides the group and poses an unnecessary challenge. I also felt it was more somber than in previous years, though that may have been my mood. I saw the kids messing with the football but didn't see the attempt to hit anyone.

The youngster in Bloomfield who threw the football was dealt with quickly by 3 riders from Pgh Major Taylor cyclists. Kudos to Ben and the others for stepping in.

Guys when did roll out from Dippy? We brought kids from Major Force at 19:02 there and no one was in sight...

Didn't see the incident with the football, but it explains why that kid in Bloomfield looked a little intimidated when he was approached by a few cyclists. Overall, very well organized ride. Kudos to the ride marshals for their work! You guys were hauling ass!

I had a conflict, didn't get out of a meeting downtown until 7:20. Met the group near the Convention Center and helped marshal about every third or fourth signalled corner after that. I rolled video, but nothing significant happened later in the ride, AFAIK.

It was a nice service. Unfortunately there was an old man who yelled "I Hope you all die" over and over to us outside of tessaro's. I have publicly shared the video I took on Facebook when I confronted him about it.

It was a well run ride and I liked the rout modification taking us through downtown. More effort was given to keep the ride together as one group than we have done in the past - while trying to be considerate to the other road users around us. I think it is both safer and less confusing to cars by keeping the group together. I only saw one driver (downtown) who was inconsiderate and aggressive, but fortunately most of the other cars seemed to be patient, and the 18 wheeler in the strip was awesome! (he positioned his truck so he blocked both lanes and patiently followed us all the way down Penn even though he could have passed us but chose not to) We had at least three pedestrian issues that I heard talked about after the ride. A man in Bloomfield yelled out that he "hope you all die" ; a youth on Liberty at 40th who deliberately threw a football that hit a cyclist; a woman downtown mocking our use of the cycle track that her $120K tax money paid for. Thanks to Bikeygirl, Dan and Jim L. for putting everything together.

Sorry to mention the kids with poor impulse control, I did see several riders peel off to address it, though I didn't see what happened. Didn't realize the 18 wheeler had done that, though I did note the friendly horn and waves to the driver from other riders. Really liked seeing Iain, Greer & fam riding. There were points that I saw them riding surrounded by other riders and it seemed intentional, like a protective pod of dolphins. It was a good ride with an important purpose. Thanks to the organizers and all who participated.

Saw everyone at Dippy on way to graduation ceremony last night. Looked like quite the showing. Wish I could have participated.

Here is a bit of video, rear facing, from about the Birmingham Bridge to the end. Nothing really fascinating happened here, but there is a brief moment when I talk with a pedestrian who wondered what we were all about. https://youtu.be/xWQQAtL19eE
