A form of dogfighting we can all get behind! (PETA Approved)

I saw this picture earlier and started to laugh thinking how much fun they might have had with these exercises (ignoring the realities of war and death and all of those unpleasant things...).

Please tell me I'm not the only one that thinks some kind of bike dogfighting could be fun... Anyone, anyone?

I could see it being done with a flag belt or something. ("Bike tag" of sorts?)

I suppose there'd be a huge advantage to those with hella-tight turning radiuses...

Paintball gun on the hoods? Hate to say it, but perhaps more realistic dogfighting with recumbents - seated with the sightlines through the crosshairs...

Realism, in the sense of spiraling out of control, crashing, and burning?

Those things can be tough to maneuver ;-)

My friends and I did this last year in a big, empty lot. But it was just 4 of us. And our weapons were just gun noises with our mouths (plus engine whines during tricky maneuvers, of course). And you pretended to get hit when you felt like it.

Really fun if you're under 12 at heart.

So, I think what Dan is trying to say is that the 'bents would be better suited to playing the slow, lumbering bombers. ;)

Paintball guns could be fun, but I'd want them mounted in place to make it more challenging.

alnilam: NICE!

i used to play a game called "battle bike", does anyone play that? no guns - the only real rules are if you go out of bounds or put your foot down, you lose. after that, it's up to the participants how nasty things get.
