I saw and picked up a very nice rear road bike wheel today on Fifth Avenue. It was leaning against a parking meter where Fifth passes under Crosstown Boulevard, between Chatham Center and the Hertz rental place (under the overpass where the motorcycles are parked during the weekday). My best guess is that it was stolen from someone's bike as recently as yesterday, then stashed somewhere, then someone found it and leaned it against the parking meter. Send me a private message correctly describing it and it's yours.
I walk under that bypass almost everyday. There was a blue & silver Trek 3700 Mt Bike on the ground with no wheels in that same spot Monday morning. I was running late so I could not stop & pick it up, when I came back at lunch it was gone.
