Aspinwall to Downtown & Back
Anyone interested in riding to and from work together--starting in Aspinwall/Fox Chapel/Sharpsburg area and going into town, and of course, the reverse in the evening? I have been making this ride quite a bit in the last year and enjoy it, but have had just enough weird experiences (especially on rail trail between Sharpsburg and Millvale) that I wouldn't mind having someone to ride with on a fairly consistent basis. I can tell some humorous stories about these experiences on our first ride in, anyway!

Hey - last Spring a bunch of us formed a sort of cycling group. There are 12-14 of us from Aspinwall, Fox Chapel and O'Hara. Basically we felt that a little bit of structure might make it easier for more of us to ride more often.
We have a regular weekend group ride, and several of us participate in other established group rides like the Team DeCaf and Major Taylor rides. Often, a member will send the group an email if they know they can get out for a ride, and if anyone else is able, they join in - it's always more fun riding with someone else.
Several of our members ride into work Downtown on a more or less regular basis.
Some of us are more fit than others, and so some of our rides are more training-intense, and others are less so. Private me if you are interested in more information and I can forward you the Google group information.
