Bicyclist Hit By Car In Washington County

An Upper St. Clair woman was riding bicycles with her husband when she was hit by a car in North Strabane Township Saturday morning.
Rita Carroll witnessed the crash near the intersection of Thomas and Springdale roads, and raced out to offer help.
“She just said to me that she saw it coming. She saw the car coming. She knew she was gonna get hit I guess, but she did say that she saw it coming,” said Carroll.
The woman, who was not identified, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital.
No word yet from police on how the crash happened or if the driver of the vehicle will face charges."
