I think I recognize five people in that photo, including myself

So how's the pool planning going? Are we going to try and hit pools we missed last year?

Workin on the pool planning. Ive been working like crazy so pool ride may be a little low key this year. I am trying to figure out if we can all put bikes on the T to go to the Brookline pool and/or Dormont. Or bikes on the incline to go to mt. washington.

I mean we could ride to those places but I'm more excited about loading bikes on transit.

Looking to bike to jack stack this year too. Otherwise we may have repeats. Honestly it is a bit of work to figure out so if in the future anyone wants to take over pool ride coordination and hit their fav pools, let me know!

Trying to figure out a legit food stop to, a la Reyna's Taco Cart or something with less of a line on a saturday.

Hey Caitlin, if you want some support this year, myself and others I'd think, would be willing to help figure all that stuff out

If you're up for the support, what are your main goals? I'm hearing food stop, jack stack, and multi-modal via T.

In the "just so's ya knows" department, there's a limit of 2 bikes per T car. It's possible you could encounter a bike-loving operator who will let 10 bikes on at once, but you could just as easily get the opposite.

Aye Stu. I was thinking maybe we could have an alternate plan if we get the latter.

Hmm, this conflicts with the every-Pgh-neighborhood ride. Decisions, decisions...

hey all

thanks for the offers of help! i think i might just make this ride a bit easy on myself and nix the t-rides with bikes, as fun as that might be. ill post a final list later on. i realize it conflicts with other rides but that is the nature of the festival, is it not? having to choose what you want to do or figure out how to do it all at once!

Okay this is what I am thinking for pools!

Highland Park

Eat a snack in lville or the strip!

Gives us a bit more time than previously. Will paste up a facebook link soon... sorry for the delay in pool visiting excitement!

We can talk about figuring out the T thing for 2013...

ërg, i can't decide whether to do this or the neighborhood ride. fun, or type 2 fun? that is the question.

Is there any time when the rides are in the same area?

I haven't checked either routes very closely, but I bet we could dip into the pool ride and then jump back into the neighborhood ride.

Depending on the starting times, the schenly pool might be the option for neighborhooders, it would probly require the shortest detour.

reviewing the neighboorhood route, the schenly pool is within 1/2 mile from the mm67 as the that ride crosses back over from southside.

the edit would be @ 66.8 miles instead of turning left onto Forbes, Continue on Craft to Boulevard of the Allies & go about 1/2 mile (the pool is on the BoA).

schenley will be 2nd last. i will calculate times (approximate times--we run late often) tonight and post when we hope to get to where, and hopefully the neighborhood riders can also hop a pool!
