lol mick. the program we use to track invites has the driving directions built in.
Bike Pittsburgh Membership meeting.
I think BikePgh is great and all, but why ever would they mention - several places - "driving directions" to the membership meeting and NOT have directions for people that want to come by decent transportation?
WTF?
Also, is anyone else going to this and then going to the Free Ride Open stage?
Wait, where are you seeing membership meeting?
Check your email - if it's not there, check in your old email!
(My invite was sent to my old email address by mistake)
I wondered about that also- It would have been anice touch to edit it to say driving/ biking directions. I will be biking.
Hopefully interested members will turn out for this even if they can't bike there (e.g. they are currently injured or have a work day that ends way out in the burbs).
Hubby and I will be driving in for this. I couldn't bike in from New Stanton, and he can't bike with his back injury.
Woot!
Is this tonight?
Ruh-roh, my membership might be lapsed.
tomorrow night
It's tomorrow night from 6:30-8:30 at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater. Stoked to see all of you!
Where is this at? I'm not sure of the exact location.
Also can we bring our bikes inside?
It's at 5941 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. There will be bike parking outside the venue.
Thanks
It's on the sunny side of the East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
Sucks I won't be able to go. I work till 5:30/6pm at seven springs. No way I'll make it back in time without driving like a total maniac.
hmmm, I've never thought of the north side of any building as the sunny side... but I guess it works...
^ it's not the Shadyside side (rimshot for lame joke)
That was a Reddan worthy pun
you can also attend if you are not a member, or need to renew. you'll be able to get your membership in order at check in.
that was a reddan worthy pun
Why am I still laughing at that joke
Anyone up for Karl Hendricks and The Kyle Sowashes at Howlers after the meeting? Short ride to a cool show.
No thanks, but I might be interested in a longer ride after.
Then there's that other ride starting at Butler & 46th in L'ville that, oh golly gosh darn, I just have to ride right past on my way back north.
Oh yes well hmm I didn't think that the meeting would be over by then.
Meetup at 8:30, roll at 9. Shouldn't take that long to ride from ELib to L'ville.
I will be riding from the North Shore- I am sure there are opinions as to the best route- I am thinking either throught the strip then up to Penn, or cross town to the jail trail them up through Squirrel Hill to Highland. Distances are only about a mile different.
there are def people planning on riding from the meeting to the ride.
Helen, I'd take the millvale trail to 40 st bridge, then head over to the... poop. Cemetery is closed. Meh, I'd still take the trail, but I really like that trail.
40th street bridge to Lville wiggle, to Penn Ave at top of hill, then left to meeting.
Wiggle is lightly defined here as *a block up, a block over* from 40th and Butler, then repeat from *.
Looks like I won't make this meeting.
Hope it goes well and is full of really encouraging news.....!
@helen, this google suggestion is not too bad, from Spring Way in the Strip: http://goo.gl/maps/gkSO
[edit] Though, I'd cut over to Liberty sooner.
I ended up working late and missed the meeting. How was it? What was covered?
