Hey just wondering, any of you guys going to Vancouver for the Velo-city thingy in June?

Not this year. I went to Seville last year for Velo-City. It was one of the better bike conferences I've been to, but it was expensive. The best part is experiencing the bike infrastructure. With PedalPGH coming up, our membership meeting (which you'll be hearing about shortly) and our 10th Anniversary BikeFest party, I just didn't think it was smart to go. Also September is Pro Walk/Pro Bike and the Alliance for Biking & Walking Leadership Retreat at which we'll have staff representation. Actually, Erok will be giving a talk at PW/PB.

I'm not sure about the one on Neville

I think having cyclists hugging the side going North might cause problems with cars exiting Elsworth, IE the cyclists will be less visible

Going South, it seems kind of weird too because I feel kind of obligated to be in the lane, but people going straight and down the hill to the Panther Hollow Trail have to try and jump back into the lane and avoid traffic turning right

Just as before, there are service vehicles parked in the bike lane by west penn hospital.

Is anything planned to be done about the parking on millvale between baum and center this season? The new double line markings now direct both cars and cyclists in to the line of parked vehicles on millvale when proceeding from baum to center.

@Benzo, yes we just reminded the City on Tuesday that needs to be taken care of. They're on it.

As for the illegal parking, the City's bike/ped coordinator is supposed to have met with the hospital to get them to tell delivery and work trucks where to park. In the meantime put in a request to 311 for police to monitor and ticket illegally parked cars and trucks and that this is a dangerous situation. If it's still happening in a couple of weeks I would then call 911 each time you experience this illegal activity.
