We tried to cross it a month after it closed and there was no getting around the fences on the weekend when they weren't working. We had to do Stoops Ferry Rd. not sure of its current state.

Can you ride/walk your bike across the Ambridge Woodlawn bridge right now?

But sometimes even though a bridge is closed it is easily and safely crossable by foot.

OK, well that completely answers my question as this would be on a weekend when they weren't working and is also to avoid stoops ferry. I'm assuming the fence situation hasn't changed in the last few months. Thanks!
