Just making sure this is on everyone's calendar. This Friday, meet at Dippy at 6, wheels on pavement 6:15. Simple ride: Fifth Ave into Downtown, circle the fountain, ride back out to Oakland on Forbes.
No corking, stay in one lane, stay together as much as possible. We will follow the law and not antagonize other traffic. Just own the road, as it is ours. We have no less right to the road than any other traffic, so let's exercise that right!

This is still on. Some rain is predicted for sometime this afternoon with the passing of a front, but is expected to be brief in duration.
Be there by 6. We roll at 6:15. We should be in the park by 6:45, then head back to Oakland 7ish and be done prior to 8.

Make sure everyone toward the rear and rightward edge of the group has nice bright blinkies on Forbes approaching the highway ramp... it'll be kinda close to sunset when you roll through there and that plus the cloudiness could make it pretty dark.
Wish I could make the latter half of the ride, but the timing cuts it too close for me.

The weather turned out to be quite nice, if a bit windy. A good wind, though: In our faces downhill into the city, at our backs going uphill heading back out.
Only three people, though! Where was everyone? From convos on here, Facebook & in person, I was expecting 10-15.
We had no negativity from anyone. Even taking the lane on Forbes past the Birmingham Bridge, no horns or yelling or close passes.
