Danny Chew

PITTSBURGH BENEFIT FOR DANNY CHEW, NOVEMBER 20 Journal entry by Sue Lynch — 1 hour ago PITTSBURGH BENEFIT FOR DANNY CHEW, NOVEMBER 20 Danny Chew, the solo male winner of RAAM 1996 and 1999, was injured in a crash in early September and as of this moment remains paralyzed from the chest down. Chew has so far logged nearly 800,000 miles toward his lifetime goal of one million miles. To help with Chew’s mounting medical bills there will be a screening of the RAAM 2016 documentary, “3,089” and of the Rick Sebak produced file “Dirty Dozen Special,” which chronicles the “Dirty Dozen” bicycle race that Chew started in 1983. The screening will be Sunday November 20th, 4:30-6:30pm at SouthSide Works, 425 Cinema Dr, Pittsburgh, PA. Tickets are $20. There will be an after-party at Over The Bar Bicycle Cafe 2518 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA where Chew’s supporters can win raffle baskets of bike swag from local bike shops and enjoy beer on tap. Proceeds from the movie screenings and after-party will go toward Chew's medical fund. Can't make the screening? Donations can be made at: https://www.youcaring.com/danny-chew-640082
