SWIMMING: EVEN MORE FUN WITH BIKES
I plan to lead the BikeFest Pool Tour 2011 again this year, since it was so much fun last year and we missed some pools (I know some of you went back for the missing ones..)
So, get your pool passes this weekend! :http://www.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/parks/swimming.htm
You can usually create a 'family' and get passes that way for $15... or you can be an individual for $30.
Dont forget you can swim indoors at Oliver Bath House all winter!

SWIMMING: EVEN MORE FUN WITH BIKES
Anybody else want to join my family? I'm pretty sure I have at least one other person that's getting a pool pass.
Need two more. I live between Morningside and Greenfield so dropping a tag off somewhere/exchanging $15 shouldn't be a problem
Also willing to be adopted
Apparently our family is full and I didn't know about it, still recommend potential coordination here for other "families"
Do any pools allow you just to wear basketball shorts and a plain tshirt? I don't do the bathing suit thing.
Pool rules say a swimsuit is required. However, it does not specify that the suit has to be gender-specific, nor that you have to remove your "beach cover up" before entering the pool.
So,
1) Guy's trunks
2) Bikini top or sport bra - matching flipflops
3) Big t-shirt with a palm tree or sunset or seagull or hibiscus blossom/surfboard image on it
No rules broken, see?
they def arent strict about guys suits. ive seen ladies in t's i think?
I've done athletic shorts and sports bra/workout tank in public pools lots of times. Never wore a t-shirt, but don't parents make their kids do that so they don't get too much sun? They also sell those "rash guard" shirts, which is basically a short- or long-sleeve shirt made out of bathing suit material.
I'm still mourning over the loss of my swim brief...
Why did I leave it at school for so long! (And why did they toss it out instead of just throwing it in a garbage bag for long storage)
got 'em, lets go swimming!
Schenley chief guard to three teens swimming in shorts "I'm not gonna kick you out, but next time you have to bring swim suits. I'll remember you."
