Five Boros Ride
Crap! I just got news that I was a successful entrant in the Five Boros Ride registration lottery. I have four days to decide whether I am going to NYC for it.
Anyone else get selected?

@hyla - you mean, not you, yet. Lots more spaces will come available after the "you have five days to register or lose your opening" period ends.

Haha, 4 days to decide after you've already coughed up the lottery fee? This is worse than a job application.

I hope they are doing staggered picking. I thought they weren't going to pick until March 1st? I registered with a group and we did not hear anything yet. But yeah, it is a great racket-$6 to register for the lottery that you do not get back. So if the four in my group do not get picked, they got a free $24 donation.

I also got selected. Planning on driving out on the Friday morning prior, and driving back to Pittsburgh Sunday after the ride. If anyone has a bike rack that will fit on a small SUV I am up for some car pooling.
