its in another thread, but it probably deserves its own since it will probably get some legs.

pretty absurd, hopefully this will disappear as an isolated incident.

I don't understand this, were they just sitting around with a brick waiting for a cyclist to come by? Seems like something like this wouldn't be spontaneous, since there's only a short period of time between seeing someone on a bike approaching and having them out of "throwing" range. Probably not enough time to think "Hey, you know what I need? A brick," find one and then throw it at them.

It's miscreants like this that forced the feds to mandate all bridges with pedestrian access to have obnoxious 10 foot+ high chain link fences on so many great bridges around the area. Specifically the many bridges around Schenley Park come to mind...

Thought; maybe instead of the typical BLAHHH! Crit mass next fri, more useful might be a sort of "solidarity" ride for this dude, and the poor little girl out in Beaver, highlight some of the things people face, maybe get some press? I dunno, your all creative peeps.

oh, kids today! back in my day they'd drop bricks from highway overpasses onto car windshields just to see what would happen. what idiots!

this makes me sick. that's the last place i'm looking when on the road. except when those people at that cmu bridge were throwing eggs at cyclists in the hollow

I had forgotten about this until erok's comment about the hollow, but I had something thrown at me from the Boulevard of the Allies bridge over Junction Hollow last summer...

Luckily I had noticed the voices from the bridge as I approached, and was looking up when I caught sight of the object. It landed harmlessly on the trail.
