Based on the limestone trails in Frick I would guess they are a mess.
GAP trail condition
Has anyone ridden the trail as far as Ohiopyle recently? Is it draining ok with all the recent rain? I'm wondering if it's good enough for skinny tires to ride on for a bit this weekend without bogging down badly.
some friends of mine just did the c&o and gap from dc this past week. the gap was heaven sent after the c&o but I think it was still a bit soupy and enough tire suck to make it harder work than normal.
As of two weeks ago (also after days of rain), it was fine until about 10 miles short of Rockwood, where it turned to peanut butter.
Caveat: I was riding 28s. Riding companions on 25s reported no problems, however.
I rode West Newton to Ohiopyle & back last Saturday. It was in surprisingly good shape with a couple of patches between Ohiopyle and Connellsville just starting to get that "mashed potato" consistancy. It was sticky though, I was riding a hybrid with 1.6" tires.
