In Shadyside, there's a rack in the hospital garage and the Giant Eagle also has covered racks. Those are a bit out of the way, though.

Garage bike racks not in downtown
I remembered reading at http://bike-pgh.org/resources/bike-parking/ that all city garages have bike racks in them, and while in good weather I'm happy to U-lock my bike to the nearest parking meter, I sought out the racks in the parking garages in Squirrel Hill (Murray and Forbes) and Shadyside while doing some errands around the East End during yesterday's déluge. Evidently they heading on that paragraph is key ("Downtown Parking") since neither seemed to have bike racks (though there did seem to be a fairly obvious space for one in Squirrel Hill at least). Are there any plans to put racks in those locations, or maybe could I just not find them?
