Happy Birthday To Me

Well this weekend is my Birthday and I decided to celebrate a bit myself. I headed out to thick to pick up the last couple of pieces I needed to finish my bike, BB and new pedals. Then I headed to Performance to pick up a nice tool set (since I needed the tool to install the Bottom Bracket.)

A quick trip to Trader Joe's (thanks for the Idea Lolly) for some mango to enjoy. From there is where the things started to go downhill. The Bottom Bracket took an hour to put in, Mostly because Im a TARD and turned the bike upside down only to get my left and right sides switched and spend all that time swearing and wondering why the threads seemed backward.

I followed that by spending the next 3 hours doing the exact same thing with the Pedals. Turning them both the wrong way, over and over again until I decided to try one more time just the other way, Pop! they came right off.

Im going to bed now, if I can figure out how. Getting old is rough.

Happy Birthday! IF I had known ahead of time of your trip to Performance I could have given you a $10 or $15 off coupon that I got in the mail (depends on whether you spend $50 or $75). I won't be using them. Anyone want one? I can try to remember to bring them to Bridesmaid Ride (I hope to particpate) or the Tweed Ride (deinitely will be there).
