Honor the dead

I say it would be cool to have everyone riding on halloween to dress like a dead person, decorate the bike in blood and guts, all while riding through Oakland.

This would be pretty close to that. It was already in development before this last set of deaths.

412 Flock announces a special "Day of the Dead/Dia de Los Muertos" Ride to be held in the Mexican tradition of honoring & celebrating the departed to help their spiritual journey home. NOTE: This is NOT a Halloween ride. You can learn more about the differences here: http://edsitement.neh.gov/feature/origins-halloween-and-day-dead

I thought this thread was going to be about all the assholes making disparaging comments on KDKA, WTAE, and the Post Gazette's comment sections about the recent deaths being that a cyclist riding 100% legally is responsible for their own death.

Anyone who cares to decorate their bike in any way imaginable and join me at Dippy in a couple hours, would be quite welcome. Start at 6, 2.5-mile ride around the two death scenes, returning to Dippy.

To the OP: Honor the dead? Your idea sounds more like mocking the dead. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that your idea was not intended to be so insulting and inappropriate.

Eh, reminds of me debates among vegan activists. Some go for shock and awe, others try a different approach

Has anyone actually consulted Ms Hicks' loved ones before promoting such extreme ideas?
