Before buying anything, you might want to consider trying some variation in tire pressure if you haven't already?
higher pressure = less rolling resistance
lower pressure = better grip
mileage may very by tire design and riding style
I'm looking to replace my tires I currently have Bontrager Race light Hard case. I loved how I never ever got a fat but I need something with more grip. I hear the Vittoria Open Pavé are great tires but I don't know how flat resistant they are. I hear Thick Slicks never go flat but I don't know how grippy they are. Or should I stick to Bontrager Any suggestions

I could do that or I could get awesome new tires.
Why more grip? With road tires the only thing that gives you more grip is a wider tire (more surface area)
are those the stock tires that came with your portland? i loved them on mine and i only had grip issues on wet surfaces...
Yup they are stock they are great tires I just want something better.
those tires are 700x28, yeah? would you want to go wider, like x32, or something with an aggressive tread?
Are you simply getting sketchy from loose material on pavements? nothing except skillz (with a z) can help with that.
On a related note, where your spills due to inclement weather, or as sloaps said, sketchy weather. Were you turning when you slipped?
Could be a variety of things. I've never been on a bike with a real road tire, but I think wiping out should be rare.
I'm always either turning or on my breaks when I crash and half the time it was rain, or a really sharp turn. They are 700x28 and I like the slicks I was just wondering if some tires came a little stickier for cornering and or rain and still flat resistant.
I have Panaracer Ribmos. They are pretty flat resistant (I had two flats since Feb, and couldn't imagine any tire resisting those) and grippy in the rain, much more so than my previous cross tires at least.

There is no such thing as sticker tires for bicycles.
Those are pretty nice tires if you ask me. You could either follow the above advice on tire pressure or go with something like a Vittoria Randonneur which have some tread on them and are just puncture resistant. Sharp turns and braking too hard are common ways to fall though. I crashed in the rain with my Vittorias because I braked to hard and fast. Even the best tires in the world wouldn't have prevented it.
turn wider, brake before the turn, brake evenly if you must brake in the turn.
