No guarantees -- I live north, not south -- but I am interested and will try to make it.

@ Mikhail and Stu - Cool! Hope you can make it. If you need a lift somewhere afterwards, let me know.

I would come to learn, perhaps even to contribute in some meaningful way, but I have a different agenda. I would use the trip out there as an example of what I have been trying for years to promote: Using a combination of bicycle and transit to get to any point in the metro area, and still get home in the same night. The constellation of buses back into town varies with each passing minute (51 Carrick on Brownsville? or Y46 or Y49 on PA51 to the busway?), combined with a 12 or 2 or 8 or 13 to get me north afterwards. It's all a matter of planning, but my point is not to have someone drive me somewhere. Not that I don't appreciate or want the help, but to demonstrate that cars are unnecessary. And that's why I bicycle. And that's why your meeting is so important, because we all may be needing to bicycle.

Stu, I understand. There is also the trolley system that could get you back to either downtown or the North Side. From Brownsville Road, if you went down Stewart (and a few other streets) to St. Norbert's Church, you would essentially be across from the South Bank trolley stop. If I ride to the meeting, I'll be going home that way.
