Sadly there isn't much any more. Pre 9/11 the upper lobby in the U.S. Steel building was a favorite winter spot, but you can't get in there any more. The Winter Garden at PPG place is okay. There are places in the Food Courts at PPG place and One Oxford Center where you can get a table that has natural light but it's not the same thing.

Looking for a good indoor location to eat lunch and read in...
As sloppy fall weather moves in, I'm beginning to mourn my lunch spot at Mellon Square.
Does anyone know of an atrium or good, indoor location downtown with natural light that I could eat lunch and read in?

Hmm... August Wilson center may have promise... also, the mezzanine floor in my building (Frick) is no traffic and has decent natural light.

I recommend Miami or San Diego.

when august wilson center opens fully, they will have a cafe with lots of windows, views of some awesome trees, and bike racks. not sure when its happening though.

there is a huge indoor seating area at PPG with a public food court, some nice trees... its not the quietest but it would work
