I took it earlier today after it was mentioned on WESA. I wish they would have designed some of the questions better. For instance there is no question asking how far you are willing to walk to get to a bus stop, of how far from the stop to your destination.

I took the survey and even completed the additional questionnaire which would make me eligible for valuable prizes (for example, "GreenFirst swag bag from the David L. Lawrence Convention Center"). But I didn't spot anything that would let me enter (say) an email address. I'm sure it's all my fault, somehow. Sigh. (There's also tickets for a Pens/Leafs game... Maybe I should fill out the survey a few more times and see if a contact field eventually pops up.)

@Ahlir I had the same problem, GBA was receptive when I let them know and the individual who has contact info down just took my info via email to enter me into the drawing FWIW.

I took it. It's the first time that I officially documented that the reason PAT buses stopped being my primary non-walking transportation is because fully a quarter of the buses on the weekends ran early.

Results of Make My Trip Count released: http://pittsburghpa.gov/mayor/release?id=5603 4.2% of respondents commute by bike. To downtown, it's 2.5%. To Oakland, it's 5.7%

Related, any updates on BRT? Is this any ammo on getting a lane on Forbes or Fifth in advance if there's no date attached? I mean, just paint ain't good enough for the long haul, but it would still be better than nothing in the interim as long as it's not put in the door zone.

A thought: Was the closure of the Greenfield Br accompanied by any increase in PAT service (i.e. the 61C/D lines, the Greenfield 5x lines )? Probably not. But it would have been an ideal opportunity to maybe shift (Oakland?) car commuters to public transit, to the long term benefit of everyone. I did see one surprise: Squirrel Hill, my own neighborhood, figures as a major origin for downtown car commuters. The Shame of Pittsburgh. And I live there...

@Ahlir, I was a bit surprised by that. Squirrel Hill has the 61ABCD, 65, 67, 69 and the 58 providing service to downtown, plus tangential service from the 52L and 53L. Not sure how crowded these buses are by the time they get to SH going inbound, but there's certainly plenty of options. Plus, as has been discussed in other threads before, getting to downtown from there by bike is fairly straightforward, even if the climb back is not quite simple.

I'd call that at least as tangential as the 52/3L along Beechwood.
