So here's what happens when a PAT bus turns in front of you and your beautiful bike:

Perhaps a second life for the bike, or at least the frame?

Hows about using the frame and fork as a bike rack near that intersection?

Strip the wheelset and tiagra components from it; Weld up a base affixed through the bottom bracket; and/or, fab up some "wheels" out of 3/4" tube steel bent for rims, with 1/2" steel rods for spokes and axles to mount the frame on. Socket the fabricated wheelset or bottom bracket base into the sidewalk with flanges and anchor bolts.

eh?

Bummer. I thought that was a nice bike, based on the photo in the paper.

I don't know how you're handling the replacement of the bike but if you're not totalling out the whole bike, you should replace the stem and handlebars as well. You couldn't pay me money to ride those after that accident.

How is the old arm?

I have a wall of wrecked bits; your fork appears to have held up better than my Cannondale vs. Camry incident:

My arm is feeling better every day. (tho if you're reading this, port authority, i'm in sooooo much pain!)

My carbon fork didn't fare well either; it snapped, but i taped it back together just to keep the bike as it was. A ghost bike sounds like a sweet idea, but i kinda want to hang mine on the living room wall. Should i use some rando old frame for the ghost?

^haha, tho on second look, it wasn't sheared off like yours, jah. i hope you did some damage to that camry!

I can imagine that's what your arm looked like after the crash too. Glad you're doing ok. Wishing you a speedy recovery (and a new bike).
