New Bike Lock - help
Hi, I went ahead and got the bulldog mini bike lock for my new bike. I am looking at the suggestions for mounting it on my bike, but most of them seem problematic. My seat is pretty low and the seat poss is covered with some spined rubber, so that doesn't seem like it's going to work. The Top tube or seat tube interferes with a water bottle.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can go ahead and do this without getting rid of my water bottle cage?
Can you just physically lock the lock to the bike frame itself and let it hang somewhere?
Thank you...

Try your seat tube with the lock turned towards your seat stays. Check for heel strike or pannier issues, but that was my setup and I didn't have either
Roundy end down tucked into the rear waistband of your trousers. (Positioned in the "plumber's crack".)
Kamikaze styling at its finest!
oh, I forgot to add that I keep my lock in my rack bag. I could never figure out how to attach it. plus I have multiple bikes and 1 lock.
I had two different lock mounts fail and then defaulted to back pocket.
Not sure about Bulldog, but Kryptonite will send a replacement if the mount breaks
Belt/back pocket/bag.
@kayla +1 but in opposite order of priority.
if i have a bag, usually in the bag
sometimes in my pocket
sometimes i lock it to my rear rack and use a bungee to keep it from moving
@dmtroyer...I actually can't even fit a lock in my back pocket, and am usually carrying a bag...so I guess it would really be bag, belt, pants.
I keep mine in my pants.
I keep mine through my saddle rails. Not sure if a smaller lock will do that though. Just have the standard krypto in my case.
If I didn't carry around a bag regularly, I would probably make 2 wide velcro straps to hold it on to the top tube and seat tube.
You could bungie it to a rear rack if you have one.
However, I really like this DIY approach.

So I should probably just carry it somehow. Thanks.
really, in the back pocket is nice and secure and not at all uncomfortable. i forget its even there until i need it.
"I keep mine in my pants."
I suppose that adds another level of deterrence.
Well, he's got a lot of unused space in there...
If you have a rack you can lock it to that.
@italianblend I think the general consensus is that the frame mounts aren't worth your time.
Eh, I used mine until my bike was stolen with the lock on it (not properly secure) They can be a hassle, but so can trying to always find a spot for one
