2012-10-23 16:26:31

Hive never seen anything like these threads. Really.

edmonds59
2012-10-23 16:35:09

To wax philosophic for a moment, I really wonder what bugs some people so much about these threads. Does a little harmless wordplay really sting that badly?

reddan
2012-10-23 16:49:33

dan's puns are much better than my bumbling attempt.

cburch
2012-10-23 16:59:26

I really don't care what petals you peddle, so long as you pedal.

stuinmccandless

The hive mentality around here...

sgtjonson
2012-10-23 17:47:10

this thread stings too much to keep reading.

2012-10-23 17:47:24

Don't get all waspish over it.

reddan
2012-10-23 17:51:52

How comb you honeys always bee turning threads into hives of droning? You'd think the queen was coming for a visit.

(not very good, but lets go with it)

reddan
2012-10-23 23:23:34

Now all we need is for Paul & Nate to get involved.

edmonds59
2012-10-24 01:24:53

Too bad there are no APIs for connecting bees and bikes.

stuinmccandless
2012-10-24 01:33:57

nicely done, stu! i was trying to find a way to work that in, but i couldn't come up with anything. now, if someone someone can successfully work in "hymenoptera", i think the buzz would die down a bit here.

Everything I read suggests it is just a costume ride, but I'm pretending it is supposed to be underwear based, and I'm hoping other people are, too.

a.f.a.i.k. the intention is for ppl to ride in costumes due to the timing of the ride & the holiday (Halloween).

Underware is an valid option this time around simply because its not traditionally 75 degrees @ the end of October.

There will undoubtedly be several riders in thier skivies for this.

2012-10-24 14:38:48

I knew I should have gotten the batgirl costume instead

2012-10-24 16:32:26

stef has one. you guys could match!

cburch
2012-10-24 16:35:02

Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Facepalm!

2012-10-24 16:46:14

2012-10-24 17:30:47

Great turnout with the temps in the 70's!! It was a swarm of bikes and costumes; the pedal cab sound system was buzzing; and pbeaver wasnt the only bee at the OTB hive.

This was a great ride. Loved it. The DJ made it super fun. Great time. Great idea. Would do again.

Also I am interested to know who won the costume contest.

stefb
2012-10-26 02:31:42

Best couple/team were the two pirate ship bikes. Very awesome.

Ummm, ET was a winner. There was a tie, but the applause-o-meter tipped in her favor.

The girl who had a costume made entirely of bike parts/tubes also won.

I don't remember names and i know i'm missing one, but that's all i can remember.
