La Feria, above Pamela's. Fantastic Peruvian food. Get the special, whatever it is. Thursday you'll have a choice of one veg, one meat, or combo of each. Huge portions served with salad and bread. Sweet potato chips are awesome too, depending on how hungry you are.

edited to add: it's on walnut, in case you don't know Pamela's.

I used to work at Cafe Zinho, a little bit pricey (for me, but I like to explore the menu, get an app, entree, dessert, and a drink), but good food, good people.

La Feria sounds pretty good!

we were going to have them cater our wedding, but the groom's family is... not as adventurous. Ironic, since many of their meat dishes are exciting versions of meat and potatoes.

I've never been to cafe zinho, though, I think I'll try it next time we go out, the online review I found makes it sound delectable :D

Tana is a really good Ethiopian place. Not exactly Shadyside, but worth mentioning.
