OT: anyone know a place in the city that delivers drywall?

The google (or my google abilities) has been surprisingly unhelpful so far.

I dunno, but I'm pretty sure they have hourly truck rentals at Home Depot which is probably cheaper than having someone deliver it - $20 or so?

I've also used zipcar for that although IIRC it was a pain in the getting full sheets into the SUV they have on Highland - I don't think they'll lay flat.

Yup HD is $20/hr for their ginormous truck.

Both Home Depot and Lowe's have small trucks to rent. Both will help you load whatever you buy to trucks. Unloading is going to be your part.

Home Depot truck is the way to go.

There's a place in Crafton in the industrial park by Sharp Edge called Ceiling Systems Distributors.

Good prices, crappy hours, excellent selection of odd sizes (only place we've ever seen 4'x10', which was perfect for our second floor).

Not sure where in the city you're looking to get delivery, but they delivered to us and gave us hints on how to get a price break.

Highly recommended.

thanks for the tips. I asked at HD yesterday and it sounds like they deliver too.
