Has anybody been watching this race? It's on this week at 4:30 on nbcsports(formerly versus).
I've been enjoying it, as I miss lounging around in July watching the tour. Monday's stage was very windy, and yesterday had an exciting finish, with the peloton catching all of the leaders. Not that I have any expert analysis but just figured we could use this thread for discussion of the race.
I am so disappointed that Alberto Contador has been suspended, because I love the name. They still manage to mention him quite a bit.

I've noticed they never show the very beginning, even at the tour last summer. Is the beginning of the race that uninteresting?

The very beginning is neutralized, if I am not mistaken. So it is a bit of a parade for the fans.

The race is edited a good bit. day 2 was over 130 miles they didn't broadcast even half of that.
