Pedal Pittsburgh, Youngest and Oldest riders?

I spoke to the father of a young rider on Sunday. He said the young boy had just completed the car free route of 16.9 miles under his own power.

The boy was 3. Wore jersey number 759.

Anyone know of other very young (or very old) riders who completed the ride?

My daughter (four years old) completed the 26 mile route in our weehoo. We ride a lot and enter into many of the local rides and are always amazed at the lack of other families at events. There was a kid standing outside his house a mile or two past the Highland Drive rest stop in the rain handing out cups of lemonade marathon style. We also saw a young couple with an infant in a carrier seat braving the elements. The baby was crying a bit but probably would rather be riding than lying in a crib staring at a mobile and will most likely thank his parents for providing such memorable experiences. Even with rain gear and an awning our "Peep" got soaked but was quite proud to be one of the few kids to complete the ride.

I think I saw the little 3 year old... Kid I saw was an adorable little man on his very own tiny bike, accompanied by two adult men cheering him on and encouraging him to stay out of the gutter. The look of sheer determination was impressive and adorable.

Ejwme - I think that was them. Two adult males, one very small child. Three bikes. Three identical (or almost identical) red jerseys.
