Philly Naked Bike Ride - September 5th

It's almost naked o'clock! I can fit either [two people and three bikes] or [four people and two bikes] in my car. I plan to couchsurf, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a place for 2-3 people to crash.

So who's going?

Ohhh man, would I love to do this. Right now, though, I wouldn't put my odds any better than 1 in 4. If the odds improve, how much cash should I bring, for gas, food, tolls, etc.? One good thing, we wouldn't need much luggage.

That'd be me and a bike, but right now, don't reserve me a space. I'll let you know for sure in a week or so.

Turnpike tolls are $25 or so, I think. I haven't taken that drive since last year so I'm not sure. Gas for my car, to Philly and back, is around 22 gallons, so around $60. Then there's dinner and beer. And the hospital bill when you take a header at an intersection and break your collarbone. No that was last year, shouldn't happen this year.

And that hospital bill was f***ing ridiculous. Fortunately, insurance covered nearly all of it and I'm only slightly worse for wear.

+1 sweet scar

+1 crazy story

-5 miles an hour in cities I don't know well

I just took the turnpike from Downtown to Exton PA and then non tolls to downtown Philadelphia this past weekend.. It was $18.40 for the tolls.

Also, check out airbnb.com for places to stay. Have used their service a few times.
