seriously, this should be an embarrassment to the organization. I tried to make a donation since 10:00 am and was thwarted only by their website's inability to handle the amount of traffic. The furthest I could get was adding my credit card and then it would time out or log me back out.

I was able to make a donation to the foodbank, but I don't think I was able to achieve the matching funds. My transaction went through at 10:28 AM.

well, i was finally able to get on but it says all the funds are gone... but, that's good news anyways, at least the money was flowing.

BTW, I see their credit card processor takes 4.75%? Doesn't that seem pretty high? Paypal only charges half that.

that whole thing seems to have been a mess. i heard some funny stories.

good thing we have our own dollar for dollar matching program, that actually doubles instead of 1.5.

I made it, I think. At least it said so. I completed the donation at 10:05. Are the donations made through the matching program elegible to be doubled? That was my intent. I'll be bummed if the answer is "no".

well, if your intent was to apply that toward membership, i don't see why not.

I think I'm due, plus or minus a few months.

BTW, apparently I wasn't the only one who thought 4.75% sounded high, I got an email from VO that ended with: "P.S. - our credit card processing fees are lower also - stretching your donation even more". Hoping bike-pgh doesn't pay that much.

our's are lower
