Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club
May I ask, can anybody point me to a ride schedule or some info or a contact person for the Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club? Thanks in advance, V.
Could you PM me that info, too, Dan? I only know of the Wednesday rides but I swear I saw some familiar jerseys doing a group ride a few weeks ago.
I also would like some info PM to me. I didn't realize they did so much more than Wednesday rides
I sent an email to them, noting this thread, and suggesting they post whatever contact/general information they see fit for general information for the message board readers.
In the meantime, keep sending those PM's Dan.
I finally found a link for the PMTCC calendar.
raddan you are the best
any details on the Wednesday rides? thanks V.
I know nothing about the regular PMTCC rides, I've only ridden with the club a few times.
^Last year Bruce led an early evening Wed. group ride from OTB that did a moderate pace (14MPH avg). Most trips were around 20 miles with some hills. Very friendly & much easier than Reddan's Tuesday rides
I ride with PMTCC. We rode upto and including New Year's Eve. Some of the group participated in the Icicle Bicycle...some of us were too hung over, ahem.
Great group rides. Over the summer, rides of 30 to 50 on Saturday usually. Through the fall it was weather pending on Saturday or Sunday. 20 to 30 with a few hills.
Hello Everyone!
It is nice to see the positive feedback about PMTCC...."Thanks,"!
We would love for all of you to come ride with us!
Our Wednesday rides start in the summer...they are 15-20 miles. These rides begin/end @ the OTB cafe.
Our club rides typically take place on Saturday and/or Sunday...beginning in the Spring...20-60 miles...in & out of the city... begin/end @ The Performance Bicycle Store or the 16th Street parking lot.
We also have various 'theme-based' rides throughout the riding season...Ex. Ladies Only ride, Fall Cookie & Cider ride, etc. During Bike Fest Week, Bruce leads a Tri-State ride(PA-OH-WVa...approx. 90 miles).
Most of our rides are on the street; yet as the club continues to grow, we have added more trail rides to meet the needs of all of our members.
Good...I see that someone found the link to our ride calendar.
Membership is encouraged; yet please know that you DO NOT have to join the club to ride with us!
*ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMET*
If I know my husband... on the next day that it is at least 40+ degrees...he will post a ride on the calendar : )
Please note that this is a Live Interactive Google calendar that updates regularly.
Have a Great Weekend!
