Pittsburgh to DC in 24 Hours on a tandem.

Tomorrow morning Rebecca and I depart from Point State Park at 7:30am. We plan to be in Washington DC 24 hours later. We're raising money for a kickass fund that promotes Chasing Ice, the movie that raises awareness of climate change. We have 335 miles to pedal at 15mph with minimal breaks. We'll be doing it on our tandem. To answer your question: Yes, we are slightly crazy. But, at least it's for a good cause. Meet us at the Point tomorrow and please donate to : https://www.causes.com/campaigns/1177-ride-335-miles-from-pittsburgh-to-dc-in-24-hours-on-a-tandem-bike Thanks, in advance, for your support. Wow! IMO, you would be better off leaving at 7:30 PM - the GAP would be much easier to navigate in the dark than the C&O

Is it a time to create something like "Iron Butts of PGH" medal? :)

Showing people that it can be done. 24:19? Excellent!

Wow, incredible on many levels. Congrats! I'm pretty sure there would be a stabbing if I took the g/f on a 24 hour ride, not sure if I'd be the suspect or the victim.

I don't even like to stay awake for 24 hours. Great job!
