The Police have started to increase their presence on the Montour Trail near the start(Coraopolis/Moon twp)of the trail. I spoke with the officer today, he commented that he loves this duty, he gets a ride in and feels that the more people know that there is a police presence it will be safer for every one . He also reported that they have had only a few incidents on the trail but given the secluded nature the trail and the increase of use the local township thought if was well worth the resource. I have occasionally have had less Congenial relationships with the police while riding but in this case I wanted to thank them for their effort in protecting welfare good for the of the riders
