Ponytail shared-lane markings!

Tonight I spotted these renegade shared-lane style markings on Smallman near 25th street. This is one of the most validating pieces of infrastructure I have ever seen. I love them! There are a few sets of them on Smallman in that general area.

Noticed one on Railroad this morning too. Also have been noticing some renegade turn arrows on Highland at E Liberty Blvd.

So there were renegade sharrows on Highland... it seems like the city painted over them BUT LEFT THE TURN ARROWS. That is freaking hilarious.

You know, if whoever did this needs funds for pavement marking paint or other supplies that is something I could see myself supporting.

While I appreciate this diversity, the differences in the normal sharrows kind of bug me Has anybody else noticed that some look like they have different ratios and appear vertically squished or have wider strokes?

I tweeted a photo of this today as being part of Mayor-elect Peduto's new diversity-in-transit policy and Bill Peduto retweeted it, I thought that was very good of him.

Bike-Pgh had a photo series a year or so ago showing the diversity of different stencil designs. There were at least 7, maybe 9 or 10, before this one appeared. I think it's great that the mayor-elect tacitly approves of this. In what way and to what extent that approval extends, I do not know, but it's a subtle "+1".
