question about a route - Arlington Ave to west Elliot park

I might be taking this route today to see from friends from out of town. I'm not looking forward to it [looong days today and tomorrow], but I might not get a chance to see them for a long time.

Can anyone tell me if this route is fairly easy? I've heard that W CArson is no fun, bu as for the rest, do I have huge hills, or to take the incline anywhere?

be careful of the trolley tracks on arlington...

Well, I've started taking arlington straight to station square one my way to work, and there's only two areas that I feel more comfortable walking on.

I'm more asking about the area from W Carson to the end of the route.

I think you should be fine. If you're going during rush hour, on W Carson you can always ride the sidewalk until you get to the West End circle ramp, it gets heavy through there. Don't let the WEC intimidate you, looks worse than it is. Big climb from Steuben street and up Chartiers to your destination, but no worse than your average ride home, probably.

thanks guys, but I decided the lack of sleep before work tomorrow wasn't worth it. I figure if they can't pick me up, I won't bother.
