I will be downtown, just wrapping up a meeting at 7. I will join the ride en route. If I knew where to pre-sign a waiver, I would have it with me upon joining, just to make it all legal &'at.

Thanks for organizing this, @bikeygirl, Jim, and BikePgh. While it is a solemn occasion, I look forward to the opportunity to see folks, remember the people we've lost, and make a visible statement about bike safety. To the dude on Morewood who decided to pass us by driving the wrong way up to the light -- really?

that dude on Morewood... i'm surprised the people coming from the other direction held such restraint toward him.

I joined mid-ride, by Penn and Main. Nose count at Forbes and Sixth Aves: about 40 riders.

+1 grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to show solidarity and ride. That said, I was hoping that someone got the plate of that red car on Morewood. That was insane.

Many thanks to the organizers and marshals for making this a safe ride. And here's the perpetrator on Morewood. He tried to pass 40 riders, but was only stopped when there's oncoming traffic on the opposite lane. It's a red Suzuki and the license number seems to be JZS-0101. Video of the whole incidence will come soon. Now I'm going to invest in a rear-facing Mobius action camera to complement my front-facing one.

Oh and don't forget the woman who drove past us with the large dog on her lap. Really? How is that safe to have something jumping around on your lap while you're operating a vehicle? Just a side note: a friend asked Bruce with PMTCC about the ride, and he apparently said that he didn't know that it was happening. For the organizers next year, this is a reminder to contact other organizations. A regular member of their club was killed this past year while riding.
