RoadID Coupon Code

Not for sale, I'm passing it along.

ThanksRob14533834 will get the next 20 people a buck off a road id.

I'm not affiliated with the company, and I don't get anything out of it. It's an offer they made, and I figured some one here might want to use it.

Reading about the recent hit and run, and some of the other incidents in the last few months has gotten me thinking about contingencies.

Cycling is safe, actually safer than driving according to at least some measures. But, nonetheless something could happen.

So I decided to get one of those fancy 'interactive RoadId' where first responders can call and get my insurance number, emergency contacts, and some limited medical history.

Anyway if anyone wants to use the code, have at!

I got caught in some tracks on Arlington this week and ended up in the hospital. Not knocked out, just scrapes, but got me thinking about this kind of thing. Thanks!

I've got one. It does give me a little comfort that if someone finds me in a condition where I am unable to speak for myself. Need to remember to wear it for it to be helpful, of course!

Hopefully, it will just be a decorative bangle on my wrist, and not a useful tool, for a LONG time.

@ben, I took a nasty fall on Arlington back in the mid 90's. I still don't use that road.

i don't even like driving on Arlington. Somehow the combination of trolley tracks and cement has worked out even more poorly than the tracks + brick on Chestnut...

I'm usually nervous about that intersection but I really felt like taking the Boggs/Williams route over the top. This spill just confirmed my fears.
