Shifter replacement parts?

My bicycle took a little tumble this past week, and my shifters seem to have taken the brunt of the fall. Largely cosmetic damage but there is one piece that has a significant crack in it. Wondering if I can buy replacement casings for shifters without having to actually buy a new shifter. The thing still works fine, but its only a matter of time until the cracked plastic comes loose or even falls off.

Should I just call Shimano, or is there an easier place to get these outer casings replaced?

Thanks for any advice.

That's a common problem. It depends on the model and exact part, but usually you can buy the cosmetic plastic pieces individually. Any bike shop should be able to help you out. Or google for example "ultegra name plate."

There is always duct tape. Another option is to go to a shop and ask if they have anything that would fit laying around.

Beyond what Heffner mentions (which assumes they are road shifters) spare parts don't really exist. Makes sense for the manufacturer not to provide them so you get pushed towards buying new ones. Most Shimano stuff can't be serviced anyways. Sram mainly can, Campy too. (especially!)

I needed some shiny black chrome plastic covers for a set of older ultegra 9 speed shifters. I got the bike at Scholl's Bicycle in West View so I stopped in and asked if they could order new ones for me. They looked up the part numbers and placed the order and it took about a week. I was pleasantly surprised they did not charged for the shipping. They just added them to the weekly order.
