heavy snowfall of big flakes is pretty blinding with lights. if you wait for it to slow down though it will be awesome.
Sort of wish I was on my bike today......
I like riding in fog, so I assume riding in a snowfall like this would be really enjoyable. I won't get home (by bus) until after dark, but I might have to check out my new lights this evening, if it is still coming down.
I had just put air in my tires last night, so I was excited to be on the streets - moving at my fastest where safe, and my brakes were even working mostly the same as normal. and this is after I came out of work to find 2 inches of snow on my bike.
Spring way was terrible though, more on that soon.
Fun ride home - the bike lane on Beechwood was almost completely devoid of cars, and also completely untouched, so I rode through the pure white snow instead of the nasty brown slush in the traffic lane.
Definitely took a lot more effort than normal though - I was sweating so bad I had to unzip my jacket.
Then I see all the people whining about how long it took them to get home in their cars... It really kills me to take pleasure in the suffering of others, I tell you...
The North Shore Trail was a doozy of a commute home last night with all the new snow and rutted hard pack underneath. I only crashed 4 times. No damage done fortunately. I was never able to get going fast enough where I had to worry about getting hurt. Needless to say, I left the bike at home today.
found my picture of what I walked out of work to see yesterday:
Today was just as much fun, except I fell in the deep, packed snow on spring way. The way home wasn't too bad though.
True story - riding a bike made me love winter.
