Just wanted to give bikers headed to the North Shore a heads up that mine and my husbands bike lights were stolen tonight. Our bikes were parked in between Rivertown and the Duquesne bridge. No other bikes near ours had lights on either. Be safe and take your lights with you.

Yeah they get stolen all the time. I have never left any on my bike, but anyone that does where I work, they are always stolen. No one leaves them on their bikes anymore. This region you need to lock well and strip your bike to nothing or it will be gone. You might get lucky a few times, but sooner or later, bye, bye.

That sucks. FWIW I always take my (expensive) front light but I usually just leave my blinky attached, never had an issue. I also usually leave my helmet on my bike. So, its not a given that stuff will get stolen.

some lights have security screws... no idea how well they work. I usually take my lights with me but I'd like to leave my rack light in place.
