Ha! I just posted a thread about this too. Oops.
Sun. 11/18 Susie Tree Planting and Dedication for cycling community
Just wanted to give you all a heads up about this event on Sunday. I went to a Susie Tree planting a couple of months ago in California and it was a wonderful experience. It's a way for all of us in the bicycling community to create a new, living landmark and meeting space that is literally being fed by our hopes and goals for the future (uh, and water too). Hope to see you!

I'll be there.
Top for today
The first seven minutes are brief explanations of what a Susie Tree is, and what the Susie Forest is. A couple of minutes of writing notes of hope to be buried with the tree, which goes in at about the 10-minute mark. Backfilling, then talking with a neighbor about plans for Arsenal Park itself.
