that's a good point and idea. City Council recently voting to require bicycle parking in new building, just like they need to for car parking, is a good example of this.

Supporting New DOT Bike-Ped Policy
The League of American Bicyclists posted an article today on raising support and awareness for the new DOT policy statement on bike-ped transportation:

I know that the policy and Secretary LaHood's comments were mentioned on the bike-pgh blog, but I am wondering if bike-pgh should also make an official public statement of support. And if they should also encourage the city to do the same. Maybe they are already working on this.
