SUV RIGHTS! (somewhat ot)
Hi bike friends,
I thought you might enjoy this video, SUV Rights, which is a spoof on the Portlandia skit, Bicycle Rights.

My friend Brighton in Portland OR, who incidentally has the same job as me but in Portland, has been creating a series of spoofs on Portlandia called Vancouvria--Vancouver is a suburban town just across the river from PDX that is in Washington.
He has made 4 episodes so far, and the first one was publicized on IFC, which was awesome for him.

I don't know... there really isn't a big difference between Portland and Vancouver (WA) imho. Most of the Portlandia jokes are equally applicable to the entire Pac. NW region. Perhaps your friend should rename his series Appalachia?

i think he more or less is making a joke about the suburbs. he actually has to work with the City of Vancouver a lot for his job!

Don't get me wrong, it's a great parody... it's just that is all that it is. Well done, but with limited appeal? I don't know, I'm forever the critic. Forgive me!
