Sweet Sanctuary
With so many animals abandoned ever year, the Humane Society needs all the help it can get. So grab your bike and join Miracle parties for "Sweet Sanctuary", a ride to benefit the Western PA Humane Society. We will be meeting at the Phipps Conservatory at 12pm and riding a casual meandering route to Highland Park's Bigalow Grove, where there will be food, refreshments and of course, Taste Tripping. The ride price is $10, for which you will get a ride shirt and picnic lunch at the park. The Taste Tripping experience is another $10(all proceeds to go to the WPHS) and we will all have Beer and our specialty Jello Shots. Beer is $5 for a cup w/ free refills. Jello shots are $3 each. We will have some extra sour Jello shooters for our Taste Trippers as well. This is a drop in ride but the number of shirts and miracle berries is limited to 30. This is a first come first serve ride, but we will have food and beer for at least 50. So even if you dont ride you can just drop by the grove. The Humane society will have volunteers on site with ADOPTABLE animals for you to hang out and play with. Hopefully we will have a beautiful day and a pleasant ride!

Ah, I located the date, May 16, right?
That's the same day as Pedal Pittsburgh, you might want to check with CDCP and see if they would post some kind of note or flyer regarding your event with their information. I could see folks being able to tack your ride on to their PP ride, since most people seem to start their PP rides between 8 and 9. Good luck!

Oh hey guys...There will be a keg of Pabst and Vino to imbibe in as well. It is $5 for your cup and you can fill it with anything you like and drink as much as you want.
We Will also be offering our Special Sour Jello Shooters...they are AWESOME! And a great price, $3 for a larger than average shot! Think about a wedge of orange. Now, turn the edible part into jello and BAM! You have a Sour Jello Shooter!

I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out this past sunday! We had a great turn out for our first event and I will be posting some pictures shortly. We were able to raise about $250 dollars for the humane society, which may not seem like much but that will buy alot of dog and cat food! I will be hosting another ride during bike week, this time an Alleycat for the Humane Society. Look for the post in the near future!
