I'm going to have an unscheduled 4th of July ride - slightly different than the normal Tuesday ride...

Start Location: Tazza D'Oro
Other: I'm planning to add my Christmas lights to the frame of my bike. Flags and weird and/or patriotic attire are welcome. Sparklers on your wheels? - that would be awesome!
Ride plan: Not much of a plan, no map. I think we'll head to Riverview Park and then get back into town around 9:00 for fireworks. Riders are free to go where they want to enjoy the fireworks - some riders said they'll go to Fineview, others have talked about Northshore, Mt Washington, etc.
My thought is to go to the top floor of the Casino. I've been at the top floor of the Casino a few times - a couple times on my bike and a couple times I was told "no bikes." It's a great place. If you plan to go to the Casino, BRING A LOCK in case we can't take our bikes to the 10th floor.
Getting back home or to Tazza will be on your own so BRING LIGHTS too.

Have never done a Team Decaf Ride - usually am busy on Tuesdays. These rides are faster paced, no?
I'm an experienced rider, would my fixie track bike do? Want to make sure we aren't hitting any sort of terrain, otherwise I'll bring my crossbike.

Several people ride fixed. On Tuesdays we stick to the road and usually break up into a few groups so dont worry about speed.

This ride should be slightly slower paced than the typical tuesday ride. We are riding up to Riverview park, observatory hill, a fairly long climb, but I'm planning to take it easy, no racing, no hurry.
