The things we carry
Slung some rollers I picked up today and thought of those threads I saw (i.e. pizza box, 2nd bike wired to the rack, kayak, etc.) and figured I'd share. Anyone haul anything cool, lately? Feel free to repost those cool pics, too.

During my first trip from Pittsburgh to DC, I had a travel guitar on my trailer. I was carrying it for a friend I was riding with. The guitar made it to Connellsville, where it was shipped home. The friendship lasted to Cumberland.....

@pseudacris - its a guitar designed to be easily transportable, the martin backpacker is one example. I've never played one but they're supposed to sound and play OK.

So, maybe this is more about a Timbuk2 backpack or my own insanity, but a few weeks ago I had occasion to carry two pizza boxes (spoils from an over-catered reception), two big law school case books, notebooks, a toner cartridge and various other things. I was basically at capacity but definitely made it safely back home from Pitt.
I was basically waiting for a thread like this to come up when I took these pictures.

Sunday night I saw a guy on Center Avenue in the Hill District. He was riding a cheap BSO that looked like it had seen a better day; one hand alternating between the handlebar and his cigarette, the other hand pulling a fairly large lawn mower with a weed eater bungeed to it. He was moving downhill at a speed way faster than I would have – if I could have.
