I'm being late to posting this, but I hope some people can come out!!! :)
A local group of commuter cyclists (those being SaraP, Bikeygirl, and Lyle); are bringing a national program—
Cycling Savvy—to Pittsburgh. This "show and tell" will explain some concepts of the curriculum that encourage safe cycling at all levels, in all typical situations.
The event will be held in the First National Bank parking lot, between the South Side Chamber visitor center and Yo' Rita.

Last year I (along with NickD and Lyle), went down to Columbus, OH and took Cycling Savvy's 3-part course, and it was a great experience that I can't praise enough! While the class is perfect for new cyclists or those who want to transition from recreational/trail riding to more city/commuting trips; even if you are seasoned cyclist, there is always something useful end empowering to take from it (personally I loved the bike handling class & the classroom seminar).
This Tuesday's "Show & Tell" will be more of a demonstration, however next month we're bringing a CyclingSavvy instructor to offer the class :)
So please come on by! Or share this with a friend/relative/spouse who would be interested :)
