Use Your Bicycle

Hey, I'm travelling to Pgh to visit my mother and I was hoping to demo a bicycle for a couple days while I'm there. I was working with Trek but they don't have their new demo bikes in as yet. I'd like to ride on Friday and Saturday and travelling alone w my 2 yr old I can't really swing bringing my bicycle to the airport etc. I'm looking for a 58 and would love something a bit on the lighter side, and maybe 105s or better in terms of components. I'm legit, and I'll pay you $50 a day if t that's acceptable. Please let me know.

From what I've heard nothing fancy, but just in terms of having a bike to pedal around google "golden triangle bike rental". I know you can do daily rentals. They're right next first avenue station on the "T" (light rail) downtown.

Golden Triangle Bike Rental's site is: http://www.bikepittsburgh.com/ and the rental is even cheaper than $50 for most bikes, you can get a road bike (with tiagra groupo I think) for about 37 a day.

^ +1 GTR would be the best bet. also they are insured should something unfortuitous happen with the bike.

If you want to try a more retro ride, Bicycle Heaven rents bikes too. It's also a museum and a cool place to just visit. http://bicycleheaven.org/

Golden Triangle did an outstanding job with rentals for some out of town visitors last year. They were well set up, fit to the riders, and had the equipment they might need for their GAP ride. I'd have to recommend them.
