visualizing your Bike Challenge rides

When I mentioned I'd biked to Robinson a couple weeks ago, a friend asked if I'd ever gone up Becks Run Rd. So I did that today. While doing so I was thinking about the National Bike Challenge and how many of the city's neighborhoods I have been through. I found https://www.bytopia.dk/blog/2012/11/30/download-all-workouts-from-endomondo/ and am exporting all my rides from Endomondo, and was looking at GPXHeat (http://dcm684.us/wp/?p=4) to plot them all. Anyone done anything along these lines?

Thank you for this post. I started to use Endomondo this year and I really like it, for a couple of reasons: a) I longer need to keep a mental record of riding (how many miles this week vs last week); b) I can look at my routes post facto and think about alternatives (hm, turning left at that intersection would have been cool, let's do it next time). I've wanted to do what GPXHeat does, to figure out places I haven't explored as yet. This all sounds like a good holiday project (unless of course the weather is nice and I'm out on the bike).

I think this would be super awesome to do for the whole pittsburgh edmoundo community. Plot all 1000+ riders traces and see where we ride.

everyone has to export their own traces; endomondo doesn't support even exporting your own in bulk let alone doing it in bulk for a city.

GPXheat didn't want to load the GPX files; I did use gpsbabel to convert them all to kml and load them in Google Earth, though.
